You have to be able to react to every last interruption on hand. You also have to have eyes in the back of your head, as you can’t really focus on just one threat. The end result is a fast action game, that also requires a lot of strategic thinking on your feet. The lassoes temporarily hold them in place so you can deal with other impending threats.
While firing, you can perform a quick dodge to get out-of-the-way, and you can even throw electric laser lassoes around bad guys. Aiming at all of the different threats around you. But when you start shooting, you’ll instead move a cursor about the screen. Some enemies can only be taken out this way. You can also use a melee attack on enemies that get in close. You move around freely, able to jump, and avoid the incoming projectiles. But it’s one that works really well once you become accustomed to it. If that sounds like a strange combination, that’s because it is. On the other hand, you fight enemies as if you were playing Operation Wolf. On the one hand, you move your character about as if you were playing Sunset Riders.
Because there really is a lot about this game to love.Īs I mentioned before, Wild Guns Reloaded is a blend of two action genres. But as disappointing as it may be, this is a game you still may want to pick up. Which is absolutely absurd considering you have unlimited continues when playing the game alone. On the flip side, you do not have any continues in multiplayer. There are sliders for you to scale the image though, so lovers of the 4:3 standard can also rejoice.

The game now renders in a full 1080p resolution, so you don’t have to decide between pleasing your purist friends who want original aspect ratios, or pleasing your other friends who don’t mind stretch-o-vision over black bars. Play as Clint, Annie, Doris, or Bullet the dog with his sentry drone.Every now, and again a previously obscure game ends up in the spotlight. Wild Guns Reloaded is a fast-paced arcade-style shooter, mixing the Wild West with steampunk.
